The revolution continues! This week we roll out the second of five new Neo-Futurists, joining the Caitlin Stainken already in progress.
Some of you may already know Kurt Chiang from his appearances in other shows we've done--The Fool (Returns To His Chair), Contraption, Picked Up, or staged readings from It Came From The Neo-Futurarium. Or perhaps you know him from his work with Barrel of Monkeys, who perform That's Weird, Grandma in our theater on Monday nights.
But you don't yet know Kurt from his work in Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind.
For that matter, neither do we. You should come out and discover along with us just what happens when we toss this odd yet lovable character into the eye of the storm that is our show. It'll be like that time you put the two hamsters in the microwave and demanded they fight to the death lest you turn on the oven and kill them both.
You didn't do that? Um. Neither did we. What a sick and horrible activity. Why would anybody do that? Why would anybody spend weeks crafting miniature Roman suits of armor and six-inch bronze spears for a pair of hapless hamster gladiators? Ha ha. Horrible.
Kurt joins Heather, Lisa, Bilal and Caitlin to bring you nine new plays this week:
- What I Did Immediately After My First Orgasm (Caitlin Stainken)
- Dear Sir or Madam at the IRS. In lieu of the paperwork you requested, I wrote you a little song. (Heather Riordan)
- No Hard Feelings? (Bilal Dardai)
- No Transit (Bilal Dardai)
- Keeping Kosher (Lisa Buscani)
- Time with Mary (Lisa Buscani)
- Jeannie in a Jam Jar (Kurt Chiang)
- Ground Rules (Kurt Chiang)
- Autobiography, in (Body) Parts (Kurt Chiang)
We don't believe you, but if you insist.
