World Premiere Preview (July 17-19, 2009)

This weekly premiere post has now been running regularly for over three years, and on a lark, I decided to Google the phrase "World Premiere Preview" to see if we were at the top of the search list.

We are not. We are second on the list. First on the list is a page talking about the opera Therese Raquin and its composer, Tobias Picker.

If you'd like to find out more about Tobias Picker, who counts among his works an adaptation of Roald Dahl's The Fantastic Mr. Fox, you can go here.

If you'd like to find out more about the eight brand new plays in the menu this week, performed by Sean, Megan, John, Bilal, Caitlin, Steve, and Tim, then you can stay right here and keep reading.
  • AVATAR DANCE PARTY with the New Technology (Tim Reid)
  • No one can come in my box. (Caitlin Stainken)
  • Object vs. Actor (Sean Benjamin)
  • United States Military Rules for The World's Oldest War Game (Bilal Dardai)
  • The Cutting Room Floor (Steve Mosqueda)
  • pissing contest (Megan Mercier)
  • cats win (Megan Mercier)
  • to catch a Kodak moment (Megan Mercier)
One day, Tobias Picker, we will topple you from your place atop our rightful search results. One day.

I am the Fox you hunted down and I will always be alive. I have thrown my best Tawaret down from the cathedral of crap you built around me and that guitar deserved to end it's sad-ass classical music life at the hands of you all.

I am not a fool. I will not be played for one.

Harpo Marx is not alive or alone anymore.

I am now the Algonquin Seven, and none of you are invited to dinner anymore.

Ta ta. Thanks for all the penny dreadful memories.
