Workshops and classes at The Neo-Futurarium

Did you know that we offer workshops here? Cause we do. This year we have scheduled a series of seven eight-week workshops to train students to create performance using Neo-Futurism (honesty on stage, no fourth wall, I am me, you are you, right now it's Tuesday and Dexy's Midnight Runners just started playing on my ipod.)

Our current Intro to TML workshop students are moving toward the creation of their culminating Too Much Light student performance (want to check it out? Contact jmondres@neofuturists.org for info on attending). On the horizon: Neo-Futurism 1: Master Class with Founder Greg Allen (btw: it's filling up fast, so consider signing up right now before someone else beats you to it.)

This is basically Neo-Futurism 101: a great opportunity to learn Neo-Futurism from the man who coined the term, our Founding Director, Greg Allen.
Over the course of eight three-hour sessions, Greg will introduce you to the basic theory and practice of Neo-Futurism - a new, honest method of devising your own work for the theater. The class focuses on how to take yourself, your personal experiences and your immediate surroundings and turn them into visceral performances that connect to the audience in unique and compelling ways.

Using various exercises and assignments created in over 25 years of teaching, Greg creates an environment that is challenging, intimate and fun. NO ACTING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, just interest in developing an artistic expression of your life. (Class size limited to 15)
